I Got to Sing!

So, Saturday night, the bestie and I headed out to a club called The Falls to go see the famous Spazmatics. They are an 80's cover band and they are fantastic and put on a terrific show.  We arrived early therefore, we were right up on the stage.  There were several times where we were almost hit with either a kick or a musical instrument but it was all good. 

They sang "I Just Can't Get Enough" and this is where I got to shine. The lead singer came over to me and leaned in super freakin' close to me and put the mic right in front of my mouth.  He had me sing the part "I just can't get enough" over and over and each time he would say "say it like you mean it."  So, of course, those of you who know me know I had zero problem with this.  I sang it as sexy I could.  He then touched my shoulder and said "now with your shoulder."  Again, no problem, I rolled my shoulder with some pizazz. 

I felt like a super star afterward because I could feel and see everyone looking at me.  Of course, I didn't mind.  :)

Saturday with the Athletes



best friends for ever

 So, I had a get together at my house Saturday night.  I made two pots of chili, one spicy and one not so spicy for Linda and the kids ( Linda doesn't do spice ).  Thank goodness it was a  hit and was liked by all.  We had such a great time and the main topics of conversation were hair and running :) 

I also learned of some really sad news for me but terrifically happy news for my friend Andrea.  Yes, click on her name....she is my hero!  She has met a wonderful woman up in Oregon....yes Oregon and she is now moving some time in March.  wwwaaaahhh.....  So very happy for her!!

Thank you all for hanging out: Linda, Herb, Andrea, Sharon, Robert, Tammy & Harvey ( greatest couple in the world ) and the kids too, Celeste, Gabrielle, Lauren and Allyn.  Sorry, I got some pics of us adults and neglected to get the kiddos.

1st Haircut

Look who got her first hair cut!  According to the beautician, she was not too fond of the loud noises nor the clipping of her hair.  Well, Miss Morgan better get used to it because she looks so darn cute.  Plus, the shedding is so much less without the messy hair.  Oh, and when I brought her home, she did the funniest thing, she went to my bedroom and sat right in front of my bedroom window knowing a photo shoot would happen immediately there after.  :)

I also need to post this past weekends pics!  Allyn had her recital, I had my Christmas party and the kids got to see all the Christmas lights in the neighborhood!  Here is a picture I happen to have handy:

Fun Times

This weekend I went over to my friend's, Andrea and Tammy's, to hang out.  We had plenty of snacks and drinkies.  Oh, and Tammy made the best soup ever by the way.  We played the game Outburst and good times were had by all. 
I love the fact they also live within walking distance from my house...
